Medical Massage for Pain Relief
Medical Massage incorporates a variety of tools, assessments, and modalities to meet each individual's needs. These tools blend into the unique style that has brought real relief to many clients.​
Deep tissue can also be wonderful for relieving pain and tension, but medical massage is targeted and is offered as a continued, strategized, and targeted treatment plan.
This work is available to all, even without a prescription, but we often work with clients' medical care teams to achieve results. We offer this for those coming in with Workman's Comp and VA Community Care coverage.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage:
We offer specialized lymphatic drainage with a certified lymphedema and oncology therapist.
This is the perfect treatment for those who have just had a surgery, whether it be cosmetic or medical, an injury that has caused swelling, or for those looking to detox and boost overall health.

Massage is one of the most beneficial complementary oncology treatments for clients with or recovered from cancer. Not only does it address the emotional support that is so essential, especially through taxing treatments, but it also has many physical benefits. It has been shown to reduce feelings of anxiety, depression, and isolation. It has also been shown to improve sleep. This massage can also help reduce muscle aches and pains, constipation, nausea, and headaches. It can help reduce scar tissue, and axillary cording after surgery.

All therapists in the office are Medical Massage Practitioners. Medical Massage simply means massage done under a doctor's prescription. But, don't worry you certainly don't need a prescription to come see us and you will get the same great treatment either way!

Free Oncology Massage
Have you ever been treated for cancer at a Hartford Healthcare location? Many patients are surprised to learn that the HHC Bountiful Bowl project helps pay for 5 60 minute massages. These can be redeemed at Windham Hospital. Nicole is happy to take clients at either location. At this time, we are not able to offer free oncology massage at ledge brook, but we offer 15% off for all clients who have received oncology massage with us. This discount becomes permanent for you for all of our services. We will also work with you to send out receipts and notes for insurance reimbursement. The journey of cancer often does not end after treatment and remission. We are here to support you through the entire journey.
